West Butte Investments is a closed-ended fund built on a simple idea: buy good businesses for less than they are worth, and own them for a long time.

The fund was founded in 2026 by two brothers, Spencer and Connor Wickham, though the approach behind it had already been at work for about a decade. It grew out of family capital and now invests alongside a small group of like-minded investors who share the same long-term view.

We are value investors at heart. We invest primarily in American companies — both public equities and private businesses we often own outright. Through those private companies we also take on substantial development and construction projects, building and holding real assets for the long run.

Our horizon is measured in years, not quarters. That patience is the whole point: it lets us wait for the right price, back the businesses we own, and let good decisions compound over time.
